Cluster ICT

Mazovia Cluster ICT was established on the initiative of the Institute for Market, Consumption and Business Research on November 27, 2007. The Coordinator of the Cluster’s activities was the Association for Socio-Economic Development  “Wiedza”. Mazovia Cluster ICT is an accelerator of innovative projects and a connector between science, industry and business.

Currently, the Mazovia Cluster ICT connects 9 research institutes, 6 renowned Polish universities and 3 investment funds. In addition, it brings together over 400 enterprises from the SME sector as well as large enterprises and business environment institutions.


The mission of the Mazovia Cluster ICT is to have a positive impact on the country and region in the economic and social area through continuous creation and management of innovations. We use and optimize the innovation potential of the region and the country, and promote it on the international arena.


The strategy of Mazovia Cluster ICT  focuses on the growth of entrepreneurship and competitiveness of small and medium entrepreneurs. Realization of this objective is carried out through joint research, implementation and investment projects, within which support is offered to Cluster members in access to funding.

The goals realized by the cluster include:

Building consortia of entrepreneurs, scientific and research units, administration and investors for common projects

Establishing, developing and maintaining strong cooperative relationships between entities in the ICT, energy and space sectors of the Mazovia Voivodeship, with particular emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises

Developing cooperation between enterprises and scientific research institutions in the field of R&D&I

Striving to provide Cluster members with optimal conditions for increasing efficiency and innovation, as well as facilitating adaptation to rapidly changing and diversified market requirements

Increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in the country
Assistance for companies to enter foreign markets

Cooperating with local governments, academia, scientific institutions, business environment and public organizations for the sustainable development of the country

Promoting cluster activities as an innovative strategy for social and economic development


In our opinion, the saying “Sky is the limit” is not entirely true. Mazovia Cluster ICT, the Key National Cluster, has already proved several times that the sky is not a limitation – for example by receiving a plot on the moon. We believe that the only limitation is our imagination. On the initiative of MCICT, the Space Bridge Fund was established, focusing on the development of projects in the space sector. We believe that the combination of the potential of Mazovia Cluster ICT, the Key National Cluster and the fund’s capital will contribute to the initiation, acceleration and commercialization of innovations on a global scale. In this, as well as, our other project in many sectors, e.g. biotech, med-tech, creative technologies or energy we create effective innovative solutions. In this way, MCICT exerts long-term and significant effects on the development of the country, region and Europe.

In constant cooperation with entrepreneurs, including other projects, we want to have a positive economic, social and economic impact. We are currently involved in projects in the field of modern ecology, energy, including renewable energy. In the world around us, the time has come for constructive changes. We are abandoning unhealthy energy in favor of renewable and distributed energy.


Mazovia Cluster ICT has got the status of the Key National Cluster as one of the first seven in Poland. At present, we are the only cluster in the Mazovian Voivodeship with this status. Moreover, we have the Silver Label of Management Quality awarded by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA).


In July 2010 Mazovia ICT Cluster joined the group of partners of European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) and is a member of two partnerships:
