Mazovia Cluster ICT, National Key Cluster has created another project consortium, which aims to implement the “Heat Plant of the Future” project. The budget assigned for the implementation of the selected project is 33 million PLN. Consortium leader is Energotechnika Sp. z o.o., one of the founders of ECN S.A. The other founder is Mazovia Cluster ICT, National Key Cluster.
The main objective of the undertaking “Future Heat Plant” is elaboration and demonstration of innovative technology of universal system of generation, processing and storage of energy for heating purposes. The system will be characterized by efficiency and repeatability of adaptation in different housing estates, using at the same time local possibilities of using renewable energy. A significant effect of the project will be over 80% share of RES in heat production for heating purposes. Another desirable benefit of the technology will be the opportunity to build cost-competitive traditional district heating systems, which today burn fossil fuels, sometimes with the use of biomass co-combustion.
